There are increasing philanthropic opportunities in ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) and innovation as the world shifts to a more sustainable economy, according to The Pictet Group.
The increasing need for investment solutions to address environmental and sustainability issues was the focus of several Pictet reports.
“Ten years ago, thematic investment in environmentally-aware companies was a fringe activity. It was aspirational, philanthropic – an ideal. But today, it is not just a way of balancing portfolios in favour of a smaller carbon footprint. It also offers myriad opportunities for excellent returns in the industries and technologies of the future,” said the Innovating for a better world report published in May 2023.
