Collaborative giving models are relatively scarce in Asia and players need to find ways to forge more cooperation, a report says. Attempts to create collaboration mechanisms in philanthropy are limited in Asia but the region holds significant potential for collaborative giving as funders focus on relationships, local challenges and pragmatism, a recent study finds. The latest DECODED report by the Hong Kong-based Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS) said collaborative funding models remain relatively scarce in the region. “While Asian collaborative giving models are not widespread, there is growing interest and traction, especially in major economies like China and India.
