The Singapore-based registered charity, which connects donors and nonprofits to facilitate cross-border giving in the region, currently administers more than 20 donor-advised funds (DAFs) allowing philanthropists to decide what causes to support. The ACF's maiden series of impact funds were launched in July. The second batch is expected to follow later in the year. Each of these impact funds pools donations from philanthropists either for an individual organisation or project, or for a specific issue or geography, to create positive social or environmental outcomes. Including both single-entity and portfolio funds, the impact funds cover some of the more than 130 social impact organisations across Southeast Asia with which the foundation connects donors. The funds aim to help raise awareness of the organisations concerned and attract more donors to them. “I would like to see these funds reach their fundraising targets. But more than that, we're raising awareness of important issues in Asia.
